Role requires hands-on experience with Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens platforms, and proficiency in modern HMI/SCADA tools. Travel and on-site supervision are expected as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• Strong project engineering skills in automation, PLC, SCADA, DCS platforms.
• Experience with Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens systems and design of control architectures.
• Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, etc).
• Field commissioning and site support experience in water/wastewater, oil & gas, or infrastructure preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Engineering or related field.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in UAE/Qatar/Oman/KSA/Kuwait for a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Rockwell, Schneider and Siemens systems. The Senior Project Engineer will lead the design, engineering, and implementation of automation and control projects, including PLC, SCADA, and related system integrations. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, preparing engineering documentation, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. The role involves supervising installation, testing, and commissioning activities, resolving technical issues, and supporting troubleshooting and optimization of control systems. The Senior Project Engineer will also contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of engineering practices and standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills, particularly in automation, PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems using Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens platforms.
• Design, program, and test complex control architectures using Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000 for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, GuardLogix, and CompactLogix platforms OR TIA Portal (STEP 7 Professional) for SIMATIC S7-1500, S7-1200, S7-400/400H, and Software Controllers OR EcoStruxure Control Expert (formerly Unity Pro) for Modicon M580 (ePAC), M580 Safety, and M340 platforms.
• Develop HMI/SCADA applications using FactoryTalk View SE/ME, FactoryTalk Optix, and modern visualization platforms OR WinCC Unified, WinCC Professional (TIA Portal), or legacy WinCC V7/V8 / WinCC OA, OR EcoStruxure Plant SCADA (formerly Citect SCADA), EcoStruxure Geo SCADA Expert, AVEVA System Platform (InTouch/Omi), or EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert (Vijeo Designer).
• Implement structured programming utilizing Ladder Logic (LL), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagrams (FBD), and Sequential Function Charts (SFC) in compliance with IEC 61131-3.
• Design and configure industrial communication networks, primarily EtherNet/IP (DLR, CIP Safety, Stratix managed switches), Modbus TCP/RTU, and standard fieldbus protocols.
• 3-4 years hands-on experience in PLC/HMI engineering and field commissioning using Rockwell Automation OR Siemens OR Schneider platforms.
• Perform loop checking and field commissioning activities.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, and for preparing clear technical reports and documentation.
• Experience in field instrumentation, process control systems, and industrial automation in water and wastewater, Oil and gas, or Infrastructure sectors is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering (or a closely related discipline) is preferred, along with several years of relevant project engineering experience.
• Proficiency in industry standards and safety practices, as well as hands-on experience with system commissioning, troubleshooting, and site support, is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and adapt to dynamic client and site requirements is essential.
