Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6-8 years of experience in Instrumentation and Automation Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Energy projects.
• Proven experience in detailed engineering, site execution, and commissioning of automation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support detailed engineering, site project engineering, and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) construction, modification, and upgrade projects.
• Review and validate vendor engineering documents including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control narratives, logic diagrams, I/O lists, and system architecture drawings.
• Coordinate with control system vendors and ensure all engineering deliverables meet project requirements and approved specifications.
• Interface and integrate automation systems with electrical systems including ECMS, PMS, LMS, and related control platforms.
• Witness and supervise FAT, IFAT, SAT, ISAT, loop checking, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Automation Engineer to support engineering, project execution, and control system upgrade activities within Oil & Gas facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed engineering reviews, automation system implementation, vendor coordination, construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and support detailed engineering, site project engineering, and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) construction, modification, and upgrade projects.


• Review and validate vendor engineering documents including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control narratives, logic diagrams, I/O lists, and system architecture drawings.


• Manage and supervise engineering deliverables related to:

  • I/O Mapping and I/O Segregation
  
  
  • Cause & Effect (C&E) Charts

• Coordinate with control system vendors and ensure all engineering deliverables meet project requirements and approved specifications.


• Interface and integrate automation systems with electrical systems including ECMS, PMS, LMS, and related control platforms.


• Monitor, coordinate, and optimize vendor activities during control system modifications, upgrades, and site implementation works.


• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, approved procedures, and HSE requirements throughout project execution.


• Coordinate effectively with Operations, Construction, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Vendor teams to ensure safe and timely completion of project activities.


• Witness and supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Integrated FAT (IFAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Integrated SAT (ISAT), loop checking, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.


• Review vendor documentation, inspection reports, test certificates, and as-built documentation before client submission.


• Provide technical support during troubleshooting, commissioning, and operational handover phases.


• Ensure all automation and control systems are delivered in accordance with operational, safety, and project objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent.


• 6-8 years of experience in Instrumentation and Automation Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Energy projects.


• Proven experience in detailed engineering, site execution, and commissioning of automation and control systems.


• Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, ICSS, and industrial communication protocols.


• Experience reviewing control system documentation and engineering deliverables.


• Familiarity with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities for automation systems.
