Job summary

Tanqeeb in the UAE is seeking an Electrical Engineer to supervise and coordinate on-site electrical works for MEP projects in Abu Dhabi. You will review shop drawings, ensure compliance with DEWA/ADDC/AADC or local authority requirements, and liaise with consultants and clients to obtain approvals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years UAE/GCC construction experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or mixed-use buildings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years UAE/GCC construction experience in MEP projects.
• Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or mixed-use buildings.
• Knowledge of LV systems, lighting, power distribution, earthing, fire alarm, ELV, and electrical infrastructure works.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and approvals.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works on site.
• Review shop drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, local authority regulations, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with MEP, Civil, Architectural, and subcontractor teams to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor work progress against project schedules.
• Prepare work plans, method statements, and technical reports.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities regarding technical issues and approvals.
• Monitor material procurement and ensure timely delivery to site.
• Prepare and review RFIs, inspection requests, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure installation quality and compliance with DEWA/ADDC/AADC or relevant local authority requirements.
• Assist in project commissioning, testing, and handover activities.
