Job summary

Daikin Middle East & Africa FZE is seeking an Application Engineer in HVAC to lead equipment selection and technical discussions. You will engage with sales, prepare quotations, and coordinate with contractors and factories on project specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years’ HVAC experience are required. Strong English communication and MS Office skills are essential for success in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Application Engineer in HVAC.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems.
• Awareness about HVAC products & fundamentals.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and perform heat load calculations.
• Ability to carry out energy calculations.
• Air side/Chillers selection.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Select HVAC equipment (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRVs) per project requirements.
• Receive client inquiries from sales department.
• Study project requirements and propose the right equipment.
• Prepare costing, pricing, and quotations.
• Coordinate with the related contractor and internal departments.
• Prepare and discuss compliance statements and submittals.
• Lead technical discussions and clarifications on submittals.
• Provide technical support to clients and coordinate with factories.
• Coordinate with factory for non-standard specs for special projects.
• Maintain CRM records and communicate with clients in technical areas.

How you will contribute

• HVAC equipment selection specially chillers, AHUs & FCUs, VRVs as per project requirements.
• Receive client inquiries from sales department
• Study the project requirement and propose the right equipment.
• Optimised selection for HVAC equipment – Chiller, AHUs, FCUs, VRVs
• Preparation of Costing & Pricing
• Preparation and technical discussion of Quotation
• Coordination with the related contractor
• Preparation of compliance statement & submittal to project specifications
• Leading technical discussion and clarifications on tech submittals
• Technical support to clients and coordinate with factories
• Coordination with internal departments for execution of the project
• Preparation of reports in CRM software
• Coordination with factory for Non-Standard specifications and complex requirements for special projects
• Communication with clients support in technical area etc
• Coordination with internal departments and updating CRM software

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3~5 years of experience in Application engineer role in HVAC industry.
• Basic Understanding of HVAC system
• Possess awareness about HVAC products & fundamentals and application.
• Ability to understand engineering drawing and Heat Load calculation and Psychometric chart
• Able to carry out comprehensive energy calculations
• Air side/Chillers selection
• Business and industry knowledge
• Good verbal and written skills in English
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven analytical and problem solving skill
• Strong MS office skill
