Job summary

Hill International in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Senior Project Controls Specialist to lead planning, scheduling, cost control and reporting for complex construction programs.

You will establish and maintain WBS, program structures, and earned value reporting, supervise risk management, and mentor staff while interfacing with commercial and engineering teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a similar role
• Extensive experience leading or executing project controls elements
• Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6
• PMP-SP (Project Manager Professional Scheduler Professional PMI) certification or similar
• Ability to think ahead and create innovative approaches to work
• Strong leadership to chair progress meetings
• Excellent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Organize project review meetings and report to PD on project growth
• Plan management training and support
• Review and monitor WBS structure
• Review and monitor Programme Structure for Level 1-3 programmes
• Review planning procedures and control
• Prepare/Review all tender programme submissions
• Establish schedule and cost rhythm with project teams
• Coordinate project development, implementation and control with engineering and commercial functions
• Maintain earned value reporting (BCWS, BCWP, ACWP) and dashboards
• Coach and train employees in project management procedures
• Manage risks and update risk register and lead risk meetings
• Interface with cross-functional teams for on-time delivery and profitability
