Job summary

Discovered MENA is seeking a Digital Product Owner in Dubai to lead one product from concept to live release. You will translate business needs into engineering-ready specs and own the product end-to-end within a growing digital team.

You’ll work with delivery managers and analysts, grow into broader strategic product work, and drive value through strong communication and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a product owner or similar role in Agile teams.
• Direct exposure to insurance or financial services projects.
• Strong communication across a busy organisation.
• Comfort with AI and its potential direction.
• Familiar with product tools and Agile ways of working (JIRA/Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Own one product from idea through to launch with full delivery responsibility.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories and backlog items.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives.
• Act as main contact between engineering, internal teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate on test plans so releases are solid before shipping.
• Track metrics and feed learnings back into the product.
• Oversee product support to resolve user issues quickly.

We are hiring a Digital Product Owner to join the digital team of an established financial services organisation in Dubai as they push through a major phase of their digital build. This is a genuine ownership role for someone who wants to take one product from concept to a live release, not sit at arm's length managing a roadmap.

You will be joining a well established business partway through a serious digital transformation, standing up new products across several of its lines. Rather than experimenting at the edges, they are investing properly in a growing digital function of product owners, analysts and delivery managers. It is a real build phase, with proper backing and a clear appetite to do things well.

The focus here is one specific product, owned end to end. You will handle the technical detail and the delivery, turning business needs into something engineering teams can build against. This sits apart from the delivery managers who track progress across every project, because your remit is depth on a single product rather than breadth across many. As the current work matures, the role is expected to grow into wider strategic product work, so there is a clear path forward.

• Own one product from first idea through to launch, taking full responsibility for its delivery
• Turn business needs into clear user stories, specifications and prioritised backlog items
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and spot chances to improve the product
• Run the product in an Agile way, leading sprint planning, stand ups, reviews and retrospectives
• Act as the main point of contact between engineering, internal teams and stakeholders
• Work with engineering on test plans so releases are solid before they ship
• Track the right metrics and feed what you learn back into the product
• Oversee product support so user issues are resolved quickly and properly

Discover the requirements

• At least 8 years in a product owner or similar role, ideally within Agile teams. This is a firm floor, not a nice to have
• Real exposure to the insurance world, whether from inside an insurer or through consultancy work with financial services clients
• Strong communication skills, because you will be moving across a busy organisation and working with many people. This one matters a great deal
• Comfort with AI and where it is heading. Hands on experience is welcome, but a solid theoretical grasp is enough
• Confidence with the usual product tools and ways of working, such as Agile, Scrum, JIRA and Confluence
• A technical background is welcome, as long as those tools are familiar to you
• A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field is useful
