Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Product Manager to shape the Payward payments platform, spanning backend and integration surfaces used by internal developers. You will own the roadmap, align internal teams, and drive delivery from architecture to go-live.

You will work closely with engineering, partnerships, and compliance to ensure scalable, multi-tenant infrastructure and API surfaces that power payments across rails worldwide. Strong API and developer-facing product experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform/APIs/infrastructure
• Strong understanding of payments and how rails flow between PSPs, banks, and users
• Ability to read RFCs, critique architecture decisions, and write clear API specs
• Experience shipping developer-facing products such as APIs, SDKs or embeddable components
• Clear, structured writing to communicate complex designs to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to align multiple stakeholders without direct authority

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the Payward payments platform, including backend and integration surfaces
• Translate internal client needs into a sequenced, high-impact roadmap with measurable milestones
• Collaborate with engineering to turn vision into a staged delivery plan
• Prioritize competing client needs and communicate trade-offs with rationale
• Shape the client experience end to end from first conversation to go-live
• Coordinate with banking/partnership teams to broaden platform reach with new PSPs and banks
• Incorporate compliance, risk, and legal requirements early to avoid blockers
• Define and track platform success metrics such as time-to-launch and rails adoption
