Job description

Title: Senior Product Designer (UI)

Location: Dubai, UAE

Duration: 6 months extendable (Long term under the payroll of Marc Ellis)

Summary:

The candidate will be part of the Design team within the Digital Office organization. In this position, he/she is responsible for designing Digital Experiences and flows based on Design best practices, Design patterns and principles, designing concepts, and guiding the development of content. He/she is responsible for creating all visual components as part of the digital experience to deliver, with a superb aesthetic sense. He/she leads all aspects of the look and feel of mockups and creative concepts of digital experiences. He/she will be collaborating with a team of multidisciplinary designers, researchers, technologists, and business partners.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leading discussions aiming to convert feature-oriented requirements into design backlog items.
  2. Conducting user testing activities to learn and refine the user needs, preferences, objectives, and vocabulary.
  3. This includes card-sorting activities, treejack testing, focus groups, and other techniques as required.
  4. Assessment of existing digital experiences in terms of UX consistency, information architecture, navigation, and classification effectiveness.
  5. Planning design workstreams for user experience and information architecture by studying content concepts, strategy, and target audience; envisioning architectural hierarchies, patterns, features, and functionality.
  6. Collaborating with other designers and business stakeholders in shaping digital experiences.
  7. Co-creating digital experiences with the support of other designers.
  8. Supporting designers in the handover to front-end engineers.
  9. Leading the overall look and feel of a product, taking ownership in the creative executions, deriving the brand personality, and ensuring product alignment to the head of design's vision.

Experience:

  1. 8+ years of experience in a related field.
  2. Experience in the Banking or Financial industry is considered an asset.
  3. Experience in the GCC region is considered an asset.
  4. Strong visual and user interface (UI) design skills.
  5. High quality of work that aligns with our design standards.
  6. Hands-on experience with Figma.
  7. Proficiency in working with design systems.
  8. Ability to create polished prototypes and micro-interactions.
  9. A portfolio of real projects done for real companies (not just conceptual work).
  10. We need to see real work from real projects, not conceptual work.
