Lever, Inc.– a partner company listing this role in the United Arab Emirates – is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer who combines product design craft with engineering rigor. You will own surfaces end-to-end, from concept to production, in a remote-first, async environment, shaping both the product experience and the design system behind a globally used scheduling platform.

You will build reusable primitives, work with AI-assisted tools, and collaborate with design and product leadership

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a product designer who has evolved into design engineering.
• Strong frontend skills in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.
• Ability to turn concepts into production-ready implementations independently.
• Experience designing and engineering custom UI components and primitives.
• Deep expertise in headless primitive composition with open-source systems.
• Strong motion design judgment and animation skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with web standards and accessibility.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems.
• Excellent written communication for async collaboration.
• Remote-first, autonomous work style.

Responsibilities

• Own core product surfaces from concept through production.
• Translate problems into designs, prototypes, and production-ready components.
• Build prototypes using AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, v0.
• Deliver components for production-use with accessibility and proper semantics.
• Maintain and improve the shared design system and component library.
• Ensure consistency across tokens, spacing, states, and motion.
• Apply motion thoughtfully to improve interactions.
• Document decisions to support asynchronous collaboration.
