Job summary

Al Tayer Insignia is seeking a Product/Program Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of e-commerce and retail platforms. You will shape product concepts using data-driven insights, coordinate across cross-functional teams, and own the roadmap within your scope to deliver high-quality innovations.

The role emphasizes partnering with UX/design teams for testing, driving analytics, and aligning product outcomes with strategic business goals in a luxury retail context across the GCC.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Product or Program Management in e-commerce, retail, or similar websites.
• Hands-on experience with Magento, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
• BA/BS in computer science, software engineering, business or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end life cycle management of products, from ideation through validation, development, launch, and continuous improvement.
• Gather insights from internal and external sources to shape advanced product concepts and address customer needs.
• Participate in cross-functional teams across all stages of product development and present options and solutions as needed.
• Lead and coordinate the product team through all stages of the life cycle and ensure effective communication.
• Provide guidance on product development best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Own the comprehensive product roadmap within the designated scope and manage dependencies.
• Advocate for business stakeholder needs to ensure final product quality aligns with goals and oversee end-to-end software development.
• Implement advanced analytics and tracking to drive data-driven decisions throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify unmet customer needs and generate innovative feature concepts for market demands.

Responsible to take lead and support the vision, roadmap and launch of innovative, customer-facing features and functionalities. Championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs, as well as delivering key features to respond to the needs of the business ensuring that the delivered product meets the original goals and objectives of the project.

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end life cycle management of products, from ideation through validation, technical development, launch, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Strategically gather insights from diverse internal and external sources to shape and refine advanced product concepts. Responsively address customer needs throughout the development process, conduct thorough competitor and market trend analyses, and assess emerging technologies.
• Actively participate in cross-functional teams across all stages of product development, from initial deployment to post-deployment activities. Proactively identify and address challenges, presenting comprehensive options, recommending solutions, and escalating issues as necessary.
• Lead and coordinate the efforts of the product team through all stages of the product life cycle, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Act as a subject matter expert within the team, providing guidance on product development best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.;
• Take ownership of the comprehensive product roadmap within the designated scope, effectively managing dependencies and leveraging knowledge from other products and programs.
• Advocate for the needs of business teams and stakeholders throughout the product development process, ensuring the final product quality aligns with the original goals and objectives. Take full responsibility for the end-to-end oversight of software development.
• Implement advanced analytics and robust tracking mechanisms throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Identify and address unmet customer needs, generating innovative feature/functionality concepts to meet evolving market demands.
• Define and analyze key metrics to gauge the success of products, providing actionable insights for ongoing enhancements.
• Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis, closely monitoring all analytics data to guide informed product decisions.
• Validate customer problems and proposed solutions throughout the product development process, utilizing customer insights and analytics.
• Govern the product backlog effectively, communicate release plans, and ensure transparent collaboration across teams.
• Collaborate closely with the User Experience/Product Design team, leading user-testing efforts for designs through mock-ups, functional prototypes, etc., to ensure alignment with intended goals.

People Management Roles and Responsibilities

• Take on managerial responsibilities by leading and delegating tasks within a team, providing guidance, mentoring, and motivation to junior resources and interns to enhance performance and produce quality work. Ensure their development for higher-level roles.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of product analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.

Education/Certification and Continued Education

• BA/BS in computer science, software engineering, business or equivalent practical experience.

Years of Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency with 3-5 years of experience in Product or Program Management, specifically within the realms of e-commerce, transaction-based platforms, retail, or similar websites.
• Hands-on experience working with at least one system, such as Magento, Salesforce, or similar platforms, showcasing a solid understanding of relevant tools and technologies.
