The Procurement Specialist at Ankabut plays a vital role in optimizing the procurement process for goods and services within the Support Services Department. His/Her expertise ensures efficient operations and supports Ankabut's financial objectives. This role contributes significantly to the organization's operational efficiency, vendor management, and cost-effectiveness, enhancing Ankabut's overall effectiveness and success.
•Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and suppliers through comprehensive assessments and negotiations, securing favorable terms and conditions.
• Request and assess quotes from multiple suppliers, comparing prices, quality, and delivery timelines to make informed procurement decisions.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring legal soundness and advantageous terms for Ankabut. Regularly review contracts for optimization opportunities.
• Create and manage accurate purchase orders, specifying goods, quantities, and delivery schedules. Monitor timely delivery and address discrepancies promptly.
• Implement cost-effective procurement strategies, tracking and reporting cost savings and avoidance measures. Analyze market trends and supplier performance for process optimization.
• Foster positive relationships with suppliers, addressing issues and negotiating terms for mutual benefit. Maintain open communication channels for collaboration and issue resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to Ankabut's procurement policies and procedures. Report breaches or security risks promptly and maintain detailed records for compliance and audits.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate seamless integration of procurement processes. Collaborate with finance, inventory, and project management teams for efficient operations.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement processes, identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and reliability of procured goods and services. Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues promptly
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess supplier performance. Regularly evaluate supplier performance against these metrics, providing feedback for improvement.
• Assist in budgetary planning related to procurement activities. Monitor expenditure against budgets, providing regular reports and identifying areas for cost optimization.
• Integrate sustainability criteria into vendor selection and procurement decisions, promoting environmentally responsible and socially conscious choices.
• Stay updated on market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies relevant to Ankabut's procurement needs. Conduct thorough market research to identify new suppliers and innovative products.
• Mediate and resolve supplier disputes professionally, preserving long-term business relationships.
• Stay informed about procurement best practices, industry standards, and legal regulations. Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills through training and certifications. Apply the latest insights to Ankabut's procurement processes.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), are a plus
