Overview
The Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for luxury retail fit-out projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials, fixtures, and services. This role requires a deep understanding of luxury retail standards, exceptional supplier relationship management, and the ability to deliver within strict project timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing premium materials and managing complex supply chains in the luxury retail fit-out sector.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to source high-quality materials (e.g., premium woods, metals, glass, and bespoke fixtures) that meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of luxury retail fit-outs.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with global and local suppliers, ensuring consistent quality, reliability, and competitive pricing. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
- Cost Management: Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining the high standards expected in luxury retail projects.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors to align procurement activities with project schedules, specifications, and brand requirements.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company standards and project-specific requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all procured materials and services meet the exacting standards of luxury retail fit-outs, including sustainability and ethical sourcing requirements where applicable.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, delays, or quality issues, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, new materials, and innovative suppliers to enhance the quality and exclusivity of fit-out projects.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements. Provide regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and project status.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and international trade standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in the luxury retail fit-out or high-end construction industry.
- Proven expertise in sourcing premium materials such as bespoke fixtures, high-end finishes, and custom furniture for luxury retail environments.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable supplier contracts.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain logistics and global sourcing strategies.
- Familiarity with luxury retail brand standards and the ability to translate design specifications into procurement strategies.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
