Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Manager with at least 4 years of experience in the same role, ideally with a reputable company. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in procurement and supply chain management, with experience using ERP systems and project management software like Primavera or similar tools. The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory levels to support organizational operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the procurement process for all materials, services, and supplies required by the company.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage and optimize the use of ERP systems to track orders, inventory, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations related to procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on procurement activities, budgets, and savings.
  • Use software tools like Primavera to track procurement projects and ensure alignment with project schedules.
  • Maintain a network of reliable suppliers and partners to support operational needs.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Senior Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with a reputable company, demonstrating knowledge of best procurement practices.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and project management software (e.g., Primavera or similar).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, ideally in a senior management role.
  • Proven track record of managing procurement processes and relationships with suppliers.
  • Experience using ERP systems for procurement and inventory management.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
