We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to lead and manage all procurement activities for our high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of hands-on procurement experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of sourcing, vendor management, cost control, and materials planning for high-rise residential and commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Plan and manage procurement for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services specific to high-rise construction.
- Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules while maintaining quality standards.
- Establish long-term supplier relationships and performance monitoring systems.
- Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Analyze market trends to forecast material costs and availability.
- Work closely with the cost estimation and finance teams to ensure procurement within project budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and strategic sourcing.
- Contract Management:
- Prepare, review, and manage contracts, purchase orders, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company procurement policies.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, architects, and consultants to align procurement schedules with construction activities.
- Monitor material delivery schedules to prevent project delays.
- Risk Management:
- Identify procurement risks related to materials availability, price volatility, and logistics.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing options.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA in Supply Chain or Project Management is a plus).
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on high-rise buildings.
- Deep knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and vendor ecosystems.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience in managing large-scale vendor contracts.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
