Job Overview:
Lead and oversee the procurement function across all business units within a real estate development environment, ensuring strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, logistics operations, and warehouse management are aligned with the company's policies and procedures policies and procedures. Drive procurement innovation, foster strategic supplier partnerships, and ensure procurement delivers measurable value to support large-scale real estate development projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Direct the full procurement lifecycle from requisition, quotation analysis, technical and commercial evaluation, through to contract award and purchase orders.
Identify and secure partnerships with reliable, high-quality suppliers and agents that meet company specifications while ensuring competitive pricing and delivery commitments. This includes sourcing construction materials, specialized services, and real estate project-specific supplies.
Lead market intelligence initiatives to assess supply market trends and identify opportunities.
Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, procedures, and governance.
Represent the company at senior-level negotiations and bid evaluations.
Establish annual and multi-year procurement strategies to align with business priorities.
Provide leadership and mentoring to the procurement team, ensuring they have the capability and training to meet business requirements.
Oversee the creation and execution of a rolling 3-year procurement plan.
Allocate resources to priority procurement activities in alignment with corporate strategy.
Manage the engagement of specialist procurement consultants when required.
Oversee all inbound and outbound activities to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery. Coordinate the delivery of building materials, fixtures, and equipment to multiple project sites on schedule.
Formulate and implement an import/export strategy consistent with corporate needs.
Maintain high-level relationships with customs, port authorities, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
Guarantee adherence to all documentation, procedures, and import/export compliance requirements.
Coordinate with project teams to develop optimal logistical solutions.
Negotiate high-value contracts and complex agreements with suppliers to secure optimum terms and savings.
Drive procurement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or timelines. Leverage volume purchasing for building materials and real estate development-related services to achieve savings.
Monitor procurement productivity, savings, and performance metrics to deliver continuous improvement.
Ensure maximum supplier discounts and best-value pricing for all materials and services.
Lead the supplier performance assessment process, ensuring high service levels and continuous improvement.
Manage supplier pre-qualification, onboarding, and compliance monitoring.
Foster strong, long-term relationships with key vendors to support strategic project delivery.

External: Senior executives of suppliers, vendors, companies, government authorities, regulatory bodies
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related to construction), business, or supply management; MBA strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role within a relevant industry.
Proven track record in high-value, multi-project procurement management.
