Job summary

Dhofar Global is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead sourcing, negotiation, and end-to-end procurement activities in the UAE, with a focus on FMCG, chemicals, and hygiene products. The role emphasizes supplier performance, contract strategy execution, and mentoring junior staff.

You will manage supplier relationships, oversee contracts, ensure regulatory compliance (UAE/GCC), and collaborate with Warehouse and Demand Planning teams to optimize stock and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering or related field.
• CIPS, CPSM, CPP, or CSCP strongly preferred.
• 3–6 years in procurement/supply chain with GCC experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement cycles, from requisition to contract closure.
• Handle high-value and complex purchases, especially FMCG, chemicals, hygiene products, and dispensers.
• Conduct market intelligence and supplier benchmarking for cost competitiveness.
• Identify, qualify, and develop new suppliers locally and internationally.
• Negotiate long-term agreements focusing on pricing, delivery, payment terms, and service levels.
• Conduct periodic supplier audits, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts ensuring compliance with UAE/KSA regulations.
• Ensure imports adhere to ESMA, SASO, and GCC standards.
• Maintain procurement documentation for audits and compliance.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Demand Planning to maintain stock levels.
• Anticipate shortages and initiate replenishment aligned with forecasts.
• Support new product registration and supplier onboarding processes.
• Monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide spend analysis and supplier cost reports to management.
• Generate weekly/monthly procurement KPI reports and present insights to senior management.
• Guide and mentor Procurement Officers and Assistants; act as deputy to the Procurement Manager.
