Job Description - Senior Procurement Engineer

The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process (Civil & MEP) for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while meeting project schedules and specifications.
• Review and analyse project specifications and drawings to identify material requirements and procurement needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure reliable and high-quality sources.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
• Procure materials, spare parts, and services required for routine and preventive building maintenance activities
• Coordinate closely with the project, engineering, and site teams to ensure accurate and timely procurement aligned with project timelines.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely procurement of critical supplies, minimizing downtime in building operations.
• Monitor supplier / sub-contractor performance to ensure adherence to contractual terms, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, disputes, or delays through proactive supplier engagement and problem-solving.
• Utilize ERP systems (preferably Oracle NetSuite or similar) to manage procurement activities, reporting, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation to support audits, compliance, and internal controls.

Requirements:

Experience: 15 years of total experience and a minimum of 10 years of UAE experience is preferred.

Academic Qualification: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Architecture

Experience in the UAE Construction market is a must.

A UAE Driving License is an advantage.

Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
