Job summary
Duncan & Ross Consulting is seeking a senior Process Safety Engineer to oversee safety deliverables in the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases of oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will lead risk assessments, ensure alignment with ADNOC standards, and coordinate across disciplines to embed safety into designs.
Responsibilities include HAZID/HAZOP/QRA/SIL analyses, development of safety documentation, and driving corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 8-10 years' experience in process safety engineering in oil & gas.
- Extensive experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering for large-scale projects.
- Mandatory ADNOC project experience.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards, guidelines and approval processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct process safety studies during FEED and Detailed Engineering.
- Develop and implement ADNOC-aligned process safety strategies and procedures.
- Perform HAZID, HAZOP, QRA and SIL analyses.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC regulations and project safety requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process safety.
- Prepare Design Safety Cases, Emergency Response Plans and FERAs.
- Conduct PHA and implement corrective actions.
- Support ADNOC Loss Prevention standards across deliverables.
- Provide technical safety expertise during audits and investigations.
