Job summary

Technip Energies in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) is seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead process safety activities across FEED, EPC, and brownfield projects. You will develop and review HAC, QRA, EERA, safety case studies, and facility siting while ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.

The role requires 12–15 years in process safety engineering, with expertise in HAZOP/LOPA, risk assessment, and safety systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required
• Master's degree in Process Safety Engineering desirable
• Professional certifications (TÜV Functional Safety Engineer, CFSE, NEBOSH or similar) advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute Process Safety Engineering activities for FEED, Detailed Design, EPC, and Brownfield projects.
• Develop and review Process Safety deliverables including HAC reports, Fire & Gas mapping, EERA, QRA, Safety Case studies, Bow-Tie, consequence modeling, ALARP demonstrations, facility siting and process safety philosophies.
• Facilitate HAZID/HAZOP/SIL/LOPA workshops and design risk reviews; identify hazards and recommend risk reduction measures.
• Review designs for ADNOC standards, international codes, API/NFPA/IEC/ISO; support firewater, gas detection, ESD systems and blowdown/depressurization design.
• Support PSM implementation, MOC reviews, incident investigations, and client interface; mentor junior engineers.
