Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Principal Process Engineer based in Dubai, UAE. The role requires interpreting complex engineering issues, leading discipline teams, and delivering technically sound process solutions for major oil and gas projects.

The ideal candidate will have 15–20 years of experience, advanced engineering degrees, and professional registration. You will coordinate across disciplines, manage deliverables, and ensure compliance with project standards and safety

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
15–20 years of oil and gas experience with a major contractor or consultant.
Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
Knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, and relevant standards/codes.
Strong project coordination and execution skills.

Responsibilities

Interpret contractual requirements for engineering execution.
Lead Discipline engineering design and manage scope, deliverables, schedule, and manpower.
Prepare design basis, reports, and procedures as Lead Engineer.
Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders for clash-free designs.
Contribute to safety studies and reviews (HAZOP/HAZID) as required.
Provide technical direction and review of Designers and submittals.
Mentor engineers and manage budgets, progress, and interfaces.
