John Wood Group PLC in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Process Engineer for upcoming opportunities in large-scale Gas Processing, Gas Separation, and Pipeline projects. The role focuses on optimizing processes, ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency across design and execution phases.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in offshore/onshore oil & gas, strong process simulation skills (HYSYS, OLGA, etc.), and experience in multi-project environments within the GCC region.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in process simulation software such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Experience in multi-project environments and all engineering/design phases.
• Middle East experience is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check works of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate.
• Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the design.
• Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements and / or those issued.
• Be responsible for the checking or approval of basis of design, process calculations, safety related calculations to develop the robust design.
• Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFS, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, Process Descriptions, cause & effect charts etc.
• Review and approve dynamic simulation studies, transient studies, surge studies, MDMT studies, etc.
• Review and approve depressurization studies, flare load estimation and flare system design.
• Ensure safety standards and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
• Review safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews as required.
• Identify new work processes for higher productivity.
• Participate in supplier reviews and project reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Licensor secrecy agreements.
• Attend technical meetings and client discussions.
• Identify issues impeding progress and report to management.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, weekly reporting, and pre-commission/commissioning procedures.
• Assist in manhours estimation and proposals.
