The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Iraq Operations Business. This role is full-time and residential based in Sharjah, UAE.

Job Objective

Contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through:

  • Executing assigned scopes of work.
  • Providing discipline expertise to the business.
  • Supporting and supervising task delegation to the team.
  • Using technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce deliverables, including solving complex problems. Serving as primary discipline engineer or technical authority on small to medium projects.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Executing Assigned Scopes of Work:

  • Participating as a team member in specific phases of engineering assignments.
  • Preparing documentation for projects.
  • Ensuring project completion within budget and schedule.
  • Defining engineering approaches, planning, and scheduling work.
  • Evaluating problems, organizing investigations, and establishing performance specifications.
  • Checking calculations and drawings according to codes and standards; mentoring less senior professionals.
  • Adhering to procedures and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Participating in audits and incident investigations.
  • Performing complex engineering tasks related to major projects.
  • Participating in site visits, reviews, and workshops.

Providing discipline expertise:

  • Solving problems with innovative approaches and exercising mature judgment.
  • Modifying guidelines and devising new solutions.
  • Functioning as a technical leader on complex problems or projects.
  • Producing innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Applying creativity and judgment based on standards and experience.
  • Developing solutions for complex technical problems.
  • Anticipating and solving potential problems proactively.

  • Supporting proposals with technical input.

Supporting and Supervising task delegation to team:

  • Managing small projects, including cost, schedule, and resources.

Expected:

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 10+ years relevant experience in major Oil & Gas projects, including at least 5 years in a similar role.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Experience in Oil and Gas projects across their lifecycle, preferably in GCC.
  • Pre-FEED, FEED experience required; detailed engineering preferred.
