Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Manager Power Plant Control System PPC Specialist to oversee configuration, testing, commissioning, and validation of central plant control systems ensuring coordinated operation and full compliance with grid codes and utility requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Power / Control Engineering.
8–15 years of experience in PPC or plant-level control commissioning.
Grid compliance and AGC testing experience mandatory.

Responsibilities

Review PPC control philosophy and functional design to ensure grid code conformity and avoid latency.
Configure PPC setpoints and integrate PPC with Solar, WTGs, BESS, STATCOM and substation metering.
Perform open-loop and closed-loop tests, verify APC and RPC, and validate dispatch commands.
Support AGC testing with grid operator and conduct grid compliance tests including contingency events.
