Job summary

DISCOVERED is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a massive, customer-facing cloud platform. You will deliver Kubernetes as a Service and Managed Data Services at scale for global enterprise customers.

You will own reliability, DR, and security, with hands-on work on PostgreSQL/MySQL/Kafka/Redis and multi-tenant IAM integrations in a production cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps/SRE roles for large-scale cloud services.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and underlying cloud infrastructure frameworks.
• Solid foundation in Linux internals, networking, DNS, PKI, load balancing, and storage integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement Kubernetes as a Service and Managed Data Platform services for global enterprise customers.
• Architect managed PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka, and Redis services using production-grade operators.
• Own the day-to-day reliability, backup architectures, disaster recovery, scaling, and connection pooling protocols.
• Implement multi-tenant operational security including mTLS, automated credential rotation, IAM integration, secure parameter baselines, and image vulnerability management.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to lead the technical implementation and evolution of a massive, customer-facing cloud platform. In this role, you will be the engineering brains behind delivering Kubernetes as a Service and Managed Data Services at a huge scale.

• Design, engineer, and implement Kubernetes as a Service and Managed Data Platform services for global enterprise customers.
• Architect managed PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka, and Redis services using production-grade operators (e.g., Cloud Native PG, Crunchy Data, Zalando, Percona, Strimzi).
• Own the day-to-day reliability, backup architectures (pgBackRest, Sentinel), disaster recovery, scaling, and connection pooling protocols.
• Implement multi-tenant operational security including mTLS, automated credential rotation, IAM integration, secure parameter baselines, and image vulnerability management.

• Expert-level hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and underlying cloud infrastructure frameworks (such as OpenStack).
