Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks a Planning Engineer to support the delivery of a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) project in Fujairah.

You will monitor, review, and report project schedules, assess construction progress, and identify delays, providing high-level planning across design, construction, commissioning, and handover stages. The role requires strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, with 6–10 years in planning on large industrial projects, preferably in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or equivalent).
• 6–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Proven experience in large industrial, infrastructure, or desalination (SWRO) projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project.
• Knowledge of project control principles, scheduling techniques, and cost integration.
• Familiarity with EPC project lifecycle and construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Review Contractor baseline schedules and recovery schedules to align with milestones from NTP to PCOD.
• Provide input on resource planning based on progress.
• Support schedule reviews from an Owner’s Engineer perspective.
• Monitor progress and evaluate performance against plan.
• Highlight schedule risks and support mitigation actions.
• Review critical path analyses and schedule impact assessments.
• Contribute to monthly progress reporting and presentations.
• Support change management by assessing schedule implications.
