Senior Planning Engineer (High Rise Building)

Job Location: DUBAI, UAE

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities for our construction projects in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in project planning software, possess strong analytical skills, and have a deep understanding of the construction industry’s planning and scheduling methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, update, and maintain detailed construction project schedules using Primavera P6.
  2. Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and prepare baseline programs for high-rise, infrastructure, and large-scale civil engineering projects.
  3. Develop S-curves, resource histograms, and earned value management (EVM) reports to assess project performance.
  4. Allocate and manage project resources, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget.
  5. Assist in resource leveling and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
  6. Conduct critical path analysis (CPM) and assess the impact of project changes and delays.
  7. Perform time impact analysis (TIA) to evaluate the effects of project variations.
  8. Prepare extension of time (EOT) claims and support contractual compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction sector, with expertise in high-rise buildings, infrastructure, or civil projects.
  3. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PSP) is preferred.
Technical Skills:
  1. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project scheduling tools.
  2. Experience in preparing and defending EOT claims.
  3. Knowledge of cost estimation and budget management.
