Job summary

Arabian Construction Co. in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Planning Engineer responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting project progress to ensure works align with approved timelines, budgets, and contractual requirements.

The role coordinates schedules, resources, materials, and progress data across multiple construction projects, providing analysis, risk mitigation, and schedule recovery support to maintain critical path performance.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in planning and scheduling within construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of CPM and forensic schedule analysis.
• Experience in EoT analysis, claims support, and contractual time management.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and advanced Excel; Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and maintain baseline project schedules per contract requirements.
• Update and monitor schedules reflecting actual progress and approved changes.
• Align subcontractor schedules with the baseline programme.
• Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules for manpower, plant, and equipment.
• Track material schedules to ensure timely availability and avoid negative impacts.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, dashboards, and lookahead schedules.
• Attend site coordination and progress meetings to present schedule status.
• Analyze progress data from site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Support schedule impact assessments for variations and EoT submissions.
• Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.
