Job summary

MIRAL L.L.C in Dubai seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting across major construction projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years in planning, and strong English communication; UAE employment status provided.

You will develop baselines, perform critical path analysis, support recovery plans and coordinate with PMs, site teams, contractors and stakeholders to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Planning Engineer or Project Controls Engineer.
• Proven experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis and progress monitoring.
• Experience with delay analysis, recovery planning and EOT claims.
• Good understanding of project controls and construction project lifecycle.
• Experience working with contractors and/or consultancy companies is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules from initiation through completion.
• Prepare baseline schedules, detailed work programmes and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor project progress against approved plans and identify delays and risks.
• Perform critical path analysis and assess delays impact.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and schedule updates.
• Develop and support recovery and mitigation plans where project performance is behind schedule.
• Conduct delay analysis and support the preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims.
• Coordinate planning activities with Project Managers, Site Teams, Engineers, Contractors and other stakeholders.
• Review contractors' and subcontractors' programmes and assess compliance with contractual requirements.
• Monitor key project milestones and ensure that planning data accurately reflects actual site progress.
• Support project forecasting and provide management with recommendations to improve schedule performance.
