We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Planning Engineer with at least 15 years of experience as a consultant or employer in project planning, scheduling, and control. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and supporting the project team to ensure timely project delivery within budget and scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather input and update timelines.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline program; report variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and recovery plans when needed.
- Assist in claims and delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) submissions, and forensic planning.
- Participate in project meetings, presenting program status and highlighting critical issues.
- Analyze resource and cost loading in schedules, coordinate with cost control for budget alignment.
- Maintain records of scope changes and schedule impacts for contractual support.
- Ensure that planning and scheduling standards and procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align schedules across disciplines and contractors.
The Candidate Must Meet The Following Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and scheduling techniques.
- Experience in delay analysis and claim support is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with international contract standards (e.g., FIDIC) is a plus.
