We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supervising daily work at construction sites to ensure quality and timeliness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient planning functions, including Work Breakdown Structure, Master Schedule review, Manpower Histograms, Cost Loading, Progress Measurement Systems, and coordination.
- Review schedules and progress, providing recommendations for approval based on contract terms and GHD's methodologies.
- Produce project status reports and manage dashboards.
- Collaborate with Project Management to support teams and supervise performance to ensure standards are met.
- Liaise with the project team to discuss progress and resolve issues.
- Review time extension claims, conduct forensic schedule analysis, perform risk analysis, and develop continuous improvement strategies.
- Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts; develop critical path networks and bar charts.
- Review contractor schedules and progress reports, validating progress data with the site team.
- Document deviations or deficiencies and draft notifications to contractors.
- Lead the development of weekly and monthly progress reports and presentations, coordinating with the project team.
- Present progress updates at meetings.
- Coordinate with site engineers to verify daily progress reports and provide data for EOT claims.
- Support project program development and time impact analysis.
- Create reports on baseline targets, actual earned values, and forecasts.
- Implement technological and digital innovations in planning and record-keeping.
- Develop and update project schedules, plans, and procedures.
- Identify and resolve conflicts related to schedule, budget, or changes.
- Review project documentation and analyze architectural drawings using relevant software.
- Support external communication systems and supervise construction activities.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental policies, identifying risks and ensuring safe working conditions.
- Assign short-term work schedules to team members, ensuring timely completion.
- Communicate action plans, motivate teams, and align efforts with organizational goals.
- Manage team performance, provide coaching, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Coordinate quality assurance activities, including testing and inspections, and implement improvements.
- Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist in managing client and customer relationships using relevant systems.
