Job description

One of our leading Construction industry clients in the UAE is looking for a Senior Planning Engineer who performs several tasks, including assisting the project team with developing plans for new projects. The Planning Engineer should also be involved in planning and scheduling.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Must be knowledgeable in both MS Project and Primavera (P6) scheduling software and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.

Responsible for developing reports and dashboards.

1. Responsible for developing fully cost and resource-loaded project baseline programs and planning deliverables in coordination with all stakeholders as per contract requirements.
2. Responsible for developing progress reports and meeting presentations for projects, including program updates, KPI curves, progress S-curves, progress forecasts, tracking sheets, monitoring sheets, progress mark-ups, construction progress sequences, etc.
3. Monitoring and controlling the project baseline programs.
4. Managing subcontractors and reviewing their programs of work.
5. Attending meetings with clients and the project team as required.
6. Preparing updated, revised, recovery, time impact, or target programs of work as required.
7. Preparing contractual correspondences to clients, consultants, and subcontractors, including delay notices and claims.
8. Expertise in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and reviewing subcontractors' EOT claims.
9. Performing earned value analysis, KPI assessments, and generating cost and resource reports from Primavera P6.
10. Evaluating and forecasting project progress and performance.
