Job description

One of our leading construction industry clients in the UAE is looking for a Senior Planning Engineer who performs various tasks, including assisting the project team with developing plans for new projects. The Planning Engineer should also be involved in planning and scheduling.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Proficient in MS Project and Primavera (P6) scheduling software and their effective utilization on projects.
• Developing reports, dashboards, and progress tracking sheets.
• Creating fully cost and resource-loaded project baseline programs and planning deliverables in coordination with stakeholders, as per contract requirements.
• Preparing progress reports and meeting presentations, including program updates, KPI curves, progress S-curves, forecasts, and construction progress sequences.
• Monitoring and controlling project baseline programs.
• Managing subcontractors and reviewing their work programs.
• Attending meetings with clients and project teams as required.
• Preparing updated recovery or target programs as needed.
• Drafting contractual correspondence, including delay notices and claims.
• Expertise in preparing and reviewing Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Performing earned value analysis, KPI, cost, and resource reports using Primavera P6.
• Evaluating and forecasting project progress and performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior Planning Engineer in the construction infrastructure industry, preferably in piling and foundation works.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare professional reports and presentations.
• Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of project management principles and foundation engineering concepts.
• Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel to Abu Dhabi for project purposes.
• Effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
