Senior Pipeline Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer based in Abu Dhabi.

Main Purpose of Role :

This is a key engineering role within the business, responsible for leading discipline performance on projects, providing expert technical design leadership, and ensuring design assurance as required.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant discipline from a recognized university
• Master’s degree in relevant discipline is an advantage

Knowledge / Experience (Skills) :

Essential

• 10-17 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience

Advantage

• Previous experience in the Region
• 2-3 years’ experience as a Lead Engineer
• 2-3 years’ experience in FEED projects
• Approval by ADNOC group of companies

Technical Knowledge and Skills (Discipline Specific) :

• Knowledge of in-depth engineering processes
• Experience with international codes, standards, and engineering practices
• Experience with all aspects of design from concept to detailed design
• Technical analysis of engineering problems
• Experience with feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED, detailed design, procurement support, construction, testing, and commissioning
• Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, BS, DIN, ASTM, IP, AGA, ISO, NACE, DEP
• Preparation of reports, calculations, specifications, datasheets, route surveys, and route maps
• Sound technical knowledge of wall thickness, buoyancy, buckling, pipe laying calculations, process design, PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic analysis, and line and equipment sizing
• Experience in hydraulic analysis, pipe support and culvert design, pipe stressing, cathodic protection, material selection, hot tapping, and stopping (design and field)
