Job summary

SEHA in Abu Dhabi seeks a senior physician to lead and oversee clinical excellence and patient care within the designated specialty. You will supervise junior medical staff, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, ensure duty rosters, and maintain high standards of documentation and compliance.

You will engage in quality improvement, risk management, and clear communication with patients and families, ensuring informed consent and compassionate care across inpatient and outpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Excellence: Lead and supervise delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care, diagnosing, managing, and treating patients within the specialty.
• Patient Care: Conduct patient examinations, take histories, order/interpret tests, prescribe therapies, and develop treatment plans; lead ward rounds for inpatients/outpatients.
• Supervision and Training: Oversee junior medical staff and participate in their instruction and supervision.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Liaise with other specialties and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to ensure holistic care.
• On-Call Coverage: Provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Documentation and Compliance: Document clinical information accurately; comply with hospital/DOH policies and infection control and patient safety standards.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in audits, performance management, and risk management to improve patient outcomes.
• Communication: Communicate with patients and families clearly, obtaining informed consent for procedures.
