Job summary

Allocation Assist seeks a highly skilled Consultant Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon to join a leading healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. You will perform complex surgeries for infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart diseases, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide comprehensive perioperative care, contribute to research and education, mentor junior staff, and participate in on-call rotations with a focus on outcomes, safety, and family

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of residency in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Fellowship in paediatric cardiac surgery.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized by relevant bodies.
• Eligibility for consultant registration with Saudi regulatory authority.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex paediatric cardiac surgeries for congenital defects and advanced repairs.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for paediatric patients.
• Manage PCICU patients in collaboration with intensivists and teams.
• Review investigations and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Collaborate with allied specialists to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in emergency surgeries and on-call rotations.
• Monitor recovery and follow-up in clinics.
• Counsel families about diagnosis, risks, and prognosis.
• Contribute to clinical research, audits, and education.
• Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and allied staff.
