Job summary

SearchPlus HR is seeking a qualified Specialist/Consultant Pathologist with a South African Board qualification to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.

The role involves diagnostic pathology services, accurate reporting to support clinical decisions, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care. UAE licensure or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Recognised medical degree with a specialist qualification in Pathology.
• South African Board qualification in Pathology.
• Relevant specialist/consultant level clinical experience.
• UAE medical licence or eligibility to obtain the relevant UAE authority licence.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a wide range of pathological examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Analyse tissue, cytology, blood and other clinical specimens as appropriate to the specialty.
• Provide accurate and timely pathology reports to referring physicians.
• Correlate laboratory findings with clinical information and other diagnostic investigations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and discuss complex cases with treating physicians.
• Ensure appropriate quality control and compliance with laboratory standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical and laboratory records.
• Support clinical governance, patient safety and infection-control procedures.
• Stay updated with current developments and best practices in pathology.
