Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Principal Package Management Specialist to oversee end-to-end package delivery from cradle to grave, ensuring budget and schedule adherence while meeting QHSES and project requirements.

You'll identify risks and opportunities, coordinate with suppliers, engineering, and project teams, and report status to executive levels; travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in engineering or package management.
• Knowledge of EPCI projects; procurement, contracts, and logistics.
• Strong QHSES compliance understanding.
• Leadership and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations.
• PMP and/or PE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a package on budget and schedule while complying with QHSES and project requirements.
• Maintain dialogue with the Project Management Team and provide status updates.
• Identify risks and opportunities and maintain a strategic outlook with stakeholders.
• Maintain an accurate account of package costs, commitments, changes, and forecasts.
• Ensure alignment with Project Controls on cost and schedule.
• Review key documents such as Technical and Commercial Bid Evaluations and POs.
• Oversee documentation, planning, and resource allocation across the project.
• Enforce Change Management and ensure proper contract flow-downs.
