Job summary

Ampstek in Dubai is seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL developer for a 12-month onsite contract. The role requires deep hands-on PL/SQL development, data modeling awareness, and the ability to work with high-volume airline-style transactional systems.

You will design, test, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers, tune SQL queries, and ensure data integrity for bookings, fare, and payment data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong understanding of relational database design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with large-scale, high-transaction production systems.
• Familiarity with airline industry concepts (PNR, fare/ticketing data, inventory management) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for high-volume transactional airline systems.
• Write and tune complex SQL queries against large reservation, inventory, and passenger data schemas.
• Analyze and resolve data discrepancies related to bookings, fares, ticketing, and payment/FX reconciliation.
• Maintain data integrity and support audit/compliance requirements specific to airline financial and passenger data.
