Job summary

Jing Hau in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Optometrist to join the team. The role requires a degree in Optometry, a minimum of five years of experience, and proficiency with ophthalmic instruments.

Responsibilities include comprehensive eye care, vision exams, contact lens fittings, and pre/post-operative care. The successful candidate will diagnose eye diseases, prescribe eyeglasses or contacts, refer to specialists when needed, and maintain detailed patient records.

Qualifications

• Degree in Optometry from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and diagnosis codes.
• Expertise in the use of optical equipment including slit lamps, lensometers, phoropters.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, contact lens fittings, and pre- and post-operative care.
• Diagnose and treat eye diseases and disorders; prescribing eyeglasses or contact lenses.
• Refer patients to other health professionals when necessary.
• Provide patient education and maintain accurate records of patient histories.
