WizeJob in Dubai, United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Ophthalmologist to provide routine eye care, perform corrective surgeries, and lead advanced procedures in a hospital or clinic setting.

The role requires a medical degree in ophthalmology, completion of internship and residency, and a valid ophthalmology license. You will diagnose eye diseases, manage emergency clinics, and contribute to holistic eye health and patient education.

Qualifications

• Medical degree in ophthalmology and completed internship/residency.
• State license to practice ophthalmology is mandatory.
• Excellent knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, and treatment options.
• Strong physics and math foundations complemented by medical knowledge.
• Organized, communicative, and decisive with good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine care such as vision testing and prescribing glasses and contact lenses.
• Perform corrective surgeries, such as repairing injuries and corneas, and removing cataracts.
• Perform advanced surgical procedures, such as keyhole or laser surgery.
• Diagnose and treat eye diseases and injuries.
• Manage emergency eye clinics, outpatient clinics, or other specialist eye clinics.
• Treat medical disorders that affect the vision through a holistic approach.
• Use therapeutic procedures and performing biopsies.
