Job summary

Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi seeks an Onshore Lift Planning Expert with 5–8+ years in heavy lifting to lead planning, supervision, and safety of onshore lift operations in oil & gas. You will coordinate crane teams, ensure compliance, and manage critical permits and certifications.

Responsibilities include developing lift plans, risk assessment, load-chart verification, soil assessment, and enforcing safety zones. ADNOC classifications and third-party training renewals are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 8+ years in heavy lifting and rigging in onshore oil & gas sectors
• ADNOC Approved Lifting Supervisor / Appointed Person (AP) certificate
• ADNOC-approved third-party training (LEE A, TUV, or LIMS) with renewal every 3 years
• Proficient in reading complex multi-crane load charts and calculating ground pressure

Responsibilities

• Onshore Lift Planning Risk Assessment
• Develop and review detailed Lift Plans
• Ensure exact calculations for rigging geometry sling angles and crane capacity margins
• Assess onshore soil conditions and ground bearing capacities
• Size outrigger mats, pads, or steel plates to prevent crane instability
• Categorize lifting operations into ADNOC classifications
• Secure PTW and specialized lifting certificates before mobilizing equipment
• Site supervision and execution of lift operations
• Supervise field lifting activities on the ground
• Lead lifting team including crane operators, riggers, and banksmen
• Conduct daily toolbox talks communicating hazards and exclusion zones
• Enforce Stop Work Authority during unsafe conditions
• Onshore Equipment Safety Management
• Perform pre-use inspections on cranes and lifting gear
• Verify third-party certifications (LEE A, ADNOC) and color-coding
