Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Commissioning Director for a high‑profile onshore oil and gas EPCm project in the United Arab Emirates. The role will oversee commissioning strategies, testing, and documentation, ensuring safety, quality, and timely handover to operations.

You will lead a cross‑functional team and coordinate with contractors, engineering, and operations to achieve project milestones. Ideal candidates will have 25+ years in oil & gas with at least 5 years in similar leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• 25+ years of oil & gas industry experience with at least 5 years in a similar commissioning leadership role.
• Experience managing onshore Greenfield/Brownfield projects, preferably in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures.
• Oversee testing and verification to ensure design and operational alignment.
• Ensure safe, compliant handover readiness of systems and equipment.
• Prepare, maintain and control commissioning documentation and records.
• Lead and coordinate the commissioning team and interface with stakeholders.
