Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer – Offshore in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires oversight of electrical design, installation, and maintenance for offshore platforms, ensuring safety, compliance with standards and reliable operation for a major client.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 15+ years in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas, and strong leadership of engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 15+ years of experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas
• 5+ years GCC region experience preferred
• 5+ years in a similar mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical project
• Experience managing teams of Specialists, Senior Engineers and Engineers
• Offshore experience is required; ADNOC experience desirable
• PMC experience is required
• Proficiency in international codes and standards
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for offshore platforms to meet project specs and operational needs
• Ensure electrical systems comply with safety regulations and standards
• Develop and oversee maintenance programs for reliability and efficiency
• Manage electrical engineering projects including budgeting, scheduling and resources
• Provide technical expertise to engineering teams and operations
• Identify and mitigate risks related to offshore electrical systems
• Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications
