Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lead Construction Engineer for the fabrication of wellhead jackets topside. You will lead offshore construction teams, oversee installation, hookup and commissioning of platforms, pipelines and subsea structures, and ensure all activities meet schedules and technical specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Piping or related field).
• Minimum 15+ years of overall experience, with 5+ years offshore oil and gas construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage offshore construction teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee the installation, hookup, and commissioning of offshore facilities such as platforms, pipelines, and subsea structures.
• Ensure all construction activities align with project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve construction-related challenges and ensure engineering standards are met.
• Review and approve construction drawings, procedures, and method statements.
• Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards during all offshore operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for high-risk activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives to align construction goals.
• Facilitate daily briefings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement hookup strategies and offshore construction plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to address delays or unforeseen issues.
