You will work closely with the Program Controls Manager to establish baselines, update contracts, and deliver performance insights using tools like Primavera P6, PRISM, and Power BI.

Job description

The Sr. Project Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Capital Projects and Construction division at Abu Dhabi Airports. This position involves overseeing project controls, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders. The Sr. Project Control Engineer is also responsible for supporting the Program Controls Manager to establish the project performance measurement baselines, contract status updates and reporting utilizing the advance Enterprise Program Management Supports such as PRISM, ERP, Primavera P6 etc. The Engineer will contribute to the successful delivery of airport infrastructure projects by implementing robust project control mechanisms and providing analytical support throughout the project lifecycle.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Project Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using industry-standard software (Primavera P6) to ensure timely project delivery.
• Cost Control: Assist in budget preparation, monitor project expenditures, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget using cost and budget control software.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Performance Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards on project performance metrics, including progress, budget status, and risk assessments, to inform decision-making using industry -standard software (Power BI).
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project activities comply with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

HSE Compliance

• Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines, and integrate HSE considerations into daily professional and technical tasks.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-conformities promptly to help maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
• Participate in required HSE training and support environmentally responsible and safe work practices.
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, PRISM etc.) and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to identify issues proactively and develop effective solutions in a dynamic project environment.
