Job Title: Senior Officer – Financial Reporting

Function: Finance

Sub-Function: Financial Reporting

Location: Abu Dhabi

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Salary : AED 12,000/-

Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Officer – Financial Reporting to support the Finance team. The role involves managing day-to-day financial accounting activities, including preparation of reconciliations, trial balances, and financial statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements for the organization and its subsidiaries, including key financial ratios and analysis.
  • Perform daily computation of product yields, cost of deposits/funds, and net interest margin at product and segment levels.
  • Reconcile financial data from various IT systems with Oracle GL, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Track investments, placements, loans, deposits, and derivatives transactions (buy/sell/maturities, valuations, etc.) on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Advise on accounting policies, IFRS updates, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare budget variance analysis and collaborate with stakeholders on budget reallocations.
  • Propose and process period-end closing entries in line with IFRS/IAS standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of provisions, accruals, prepayments, and year-end financial closures.
  • Work with Risk & Collections teams on NPL and ECL reporting in compliance with IFRS 9.
  • Support preparation of interim and annual disclosures required for financial statements.
  • Provide input during new product implementation, including accounting, policies, procedures, UAT, and systems integration.
  • Perform reconciliation of all core products, report exceptions, and follow up for corrections.
  • Prepare worksheets and financial analyses for auditors and other stakeholders.

Internal: CFO, Finance Director, Finance Team, other departments as required.

External: Auditors, consultants, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
