Job summary

tech carrot, headquartered in Dubai, seeks a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and operate scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript. You will publish and secure APIs with APIM, deploy on AKS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 6–8 years of hands-on experience, strong API security knowledge, and practical Azure expertise. Expect workload that emphasizes reliability, observability, and scalable cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating microservices and REST APIs in production.
• Practical exposure to Azure, AKS, and Azure API Management.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes basics, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently on features and contribute to designdiscussions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build API-first solutions using REST standards and OpenAPI specifications.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Azure KubernetesService (AKS).
• Publish, secure, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Integrate backend services with internal and external systems using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Azure AD.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and CI/CD automation.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.
