Dubai Careers - A Smart Dubai Initiative is seeking a Network Engineer to maintain and support the organisation’s enterprise network across primary, disaster-recovery, and cloud environments. You will ensure secure, reliable connectivity by administering devices, monitoring performance, and implementing changes with Cybersecurity coordination.

The role covers LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, monitoring tools, and disaster-recovery procedures, with emphasis on incident resolution, capacity

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/CE/telecommunications or related field.
5+ years of enterprise network infrastructure, security, and disaster-recovery experience.
Hands-on with LAN/WAN, data-centre, wireless and SD-WAN networks using Cisco/Juniper/Aruba platforms.
Experience configuring routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, OSPF, BGP, QoS and redundancy.
Experience with firewalls (Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ASA/FTD) and secure connectivity (IPSec/SSL VPN).
Knowledge of VXLAN, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, and SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela).
Proficient with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG).
Familiar with edge/CDN security (Akamai Kona defensive) and cloud connectivity (Azure ExpressRoute).

Responsibilities

Administer and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless and data-centre networks.
Configure switches, routers, wireless infra, and related services per approved designs.
Maintain routing, switching, segmentation, redundancy configurations.
Manage firewalls, site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, and secure connectivity.
Monitor availability and performance across devices, logs, and traffic flows.
Troubleshoot outages, latency, congestion, and wireless issues; perform root-cause analysis.
Maintain cloud/hybrid network connectivity and private connectivity configurations.
Support disaster-recovery procedures and network runbooks; lead change-management.
Coordinate incidents and maintenance with internal teams and vendors.
