Job summary

Talanto in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring reliability and strong security.

You will monitor LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; handle configurations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Travel to client sites within the UAE is required; own car and a valid driving license are necessary.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network devices.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Perform network configuration and upgrades in line with company requirements and industry best practices.
• Respond to network issues and outages, providing efficient solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy network solutions for various projects.
• Assist in planning network capacity, ensuring scalability and redundancy for future growth.
• Provide network documentation, including topology, IP addresses, and detailed configuration.
• Maintain and optimize existing network systems, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Conduct regular system checks and performance evaluations.
• Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
• Travel to client sites for network installations, troubleshooting, and support activities (travel required within UAE).

Key Requirements

• 2-3 years of hands‑on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), and experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
• Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Nice to Have

• CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
