Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the management, administration, and continuous improvement of the company's IT networking and security infrastructure. This includes firewalls, routers, switches, SD-WAN, WAFs, and internet connectivity, across both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS and Azure).

The role requires a strong technical background, analytical mindset, and the ability to take ownership of complex networking issues and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, monitor, and maintain complex IP networks and security technologies.
• Administer and troubleshoot network components including LAN / WAN / Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, loadancers, and endpoint security.
• Manage incidents, problems, and changes related to network and security infrastructure.
• Ensure disaster recovery, patching, upgrading, and vulnerability management are up to date and compliant with internal standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to implement and maintain network and security solutions.
• Conduct capacity planning and recommend improvements to meet evolving business demands.
• Use tools such as Wireshark to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Implement and monitor Quality of Service (QoS) measures to optimize performance.
• Support network environments across on-prem datacenters, cloud platforms (AWS / Azure), and offices.
• Maintain detailed and accurate network documentation, configurations, and procedures.
• Participate in internal and external IT audits and ensure timely action on findings.
• Maintain up-to-date asset and configuration inventory.
• Work closely with internal teams to support business requirements and projects.
• Provide after-hours or weekend support for infrastructure maintenance or emergencies.

Profile / Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in IT data networking roles.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
• Network Security : Hands-on experience with Fortigate, Palo Alto NGFWs, and F5 Load Balancers / WAF (including OWASP Top 10 mitigation).
• WAN Technologies : Experience with SD-WAN (preferably Cisco Meraki).
• Switching & Routing : Proficient with Cisco Nexus, ACI Fabric, OSPF, Static Routing, and Policy-Based Routing.
• Cloud Networking : Exposure to AWS and Azure cloud network design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Other Skills : Familiarity with IDS / IPS, VPN, micro-segmentation concepts, QoS, and tools like Wireshark.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams.
• Proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Certifications (Preferred) - Cisco professional-level certifications : CCNP, CCIE, or CCDP
